Rick Vogel - Chief Engineer
With over 15 years experience as Chief Engineer for the USAF Band of the Pacific, Rick has engineered hundreds of shows throughout the Far East with bands of every make and size, including America, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Shenandoah, The Drifters, and Legends In Concert. Having worked countless venues ranging from small clubs to huge indoor/outdoor concert halls, arenas, festivals, and stadiums in Japan, Singapore, Philippines, Korea, Burma, Hawaii, Guam, and Australia, he is comfortable in any setting and troubleshoots quickly and accurately. Rick has extensive knowledge of all aspects of live sound system engineering and effectively organizes and supervises a well-trained crew. He is familiar with most industry standard gear, including products made by Klark Teknik, BSS, Yamaha, Rane, QSC, JBL, Lexicon, etc
Also having an extensive background as a professional musician, Rick is able to quickly identify musical/audio requirements on stage and accurately interpret all related terminology. Rick has studied with Roger Nichols (Steely Dan), Patrick Baltzell, John Meyer, Albert Leccese, M.L. Procise, Andrew Strauber, Bob McCarthy, and Bob Aldridge. |
