Dennis was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. Coming from a musically talented family, he started playing drums at the age of 4. Dennis' father and trumpet player, Bobby Bradford, is famous worldwide as a band member of Billy Holiday and Frank Sinatra. Quincy Jones also worked with his father for a long period of time.
